About the Opportunity
MoonPay is looking for a Regulatory Compliance Specialist to join our growing Compliance team. In this role, you will support the day-to-day maintenance of MoonPay's US Money Transmitter License portfolio and help ensure we meet our ongoing state regulatory obligations.
You'll work closely with Legal, Finance, and FIU teams to assist with license renewals and amendments, coordinate regulatory exam preparation, support partner due diligence reviews, and help keep our compliance policies and procedures up to date. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in the details of US state licensing and wants to grow their regulatory expertise at a fast-moving crypto company.

What You Will Do
- Assist with the maintenance of MoonPay's existing portfolio of US Money Transmitter Licenses (MTLs), including supporting renewals, amendments, and state regulatory correspondence.
- Help coordinate state regulatory examinations by organizing documentation, tracking requests, and supporting responses across internal teams.
- Prepare and submit regulatory reports and filings to state money services business (MSB) regulators, including through the NMLS system.
- Support due diligence reviews for new and existing business partnerships, helping assess licensing obligations and regulatory risks across applicable US jurisdictions.
- Maintain and update compliance policies, procedures, and controls documentation to reflect current US state and federal money transmission requirements.
- Monitor regulatory developments across US jurisdictions and flag potential impacts to existing licenses or operational obligations to senior team members.
About You
- 2–4 years of experience in regulatory compliance, ideally within fintech, payments, money services, or a related financial services environment.
- Hands-on experience working with US state Money Transmitter Licenses, including renewals, amendments, and state regulator communications.
- Familiarity with the NMLS system and state MSB licensing processes.
- Working knowledge of US state and federal money transmission regulations and reporting requirements.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines and regulatory obligations simultaneously.
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with Legal, Finance, Operations, and external partners in a fast-paced environment.

- Professional certifications (CAMS, CRCM, CCEP, or similar).
- Experience supporting regulatory examinations end-to-end.
- Exposure to crypto or digital asset regulatory frameworks.
