About the Role
The Compliance Manager position will be based in either Singapore or Hong Kong and reporting to the Group Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) based in Singapore. Essential to the success of the role will be a collaborative attitude and approach, timely communication and strong cooperation with business stakeholders and colleagues across the business, compliance, legal, finance, marketing, and product teams.
Partnering closely with internal and external stakeholders, you will be their trusted advisor and main point of contact for product-related compliance matters. You will play an instrumental role in supporting and enabling business’ growth. This is an excellent opportunity for those interested in the cryptocurrency / blockchain industry.
This is a non-FCC role.
Job Responsibilities
- Support the Matrixport Group to ensure business alignment with applicable laws, regulatory rules and regulations and internal policies and procedures;
- Serve as the Compliance Officer supporting the Real World Assets (RWA) Business Unit of the Matrixport Group;
- Review of RWA and Group marketing and product materials to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations;
- Support the business in the review of new products and services;
- Participate in Global Compliance initiatives and projects;
- Act as secretary for the Group Compliance Governance Committee;
- Lead periodic Compliance Testing and Reviews across Matrixport Business Units;
- Participate in industry groups or other forums.
Job Requirements
- Degree holder in Law, Accountancy, Business Administration or equivalent disciplines;
- 5-8 years of demonstrated experience in a compliance role. Prior experience in a Virtual Assets company is a plus;
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with strong analytical ability and logical thinking;
- Keen interest in Virtual Assets and RWA;
- Able to meet deadlines while maintaining quality standards and ensuring effective time management;
- Able to work in an environment of ambiguity and change with the ability to make, support and defend difficult and complex regulatory compliance decisions;
- Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese is a pre-requisite.
