The Problem

We’re lazy. We hate doing the same thing over and over again. We hate doing work that can and should be automated. We’ve suffered through it. We don’t even want to search for an answer – we want to be proactively told the solution.

The fastest-growing technology and multi-product companies have a critical group of people that are dealing with this problem – the sales engineers, solution architects, customer success engineers and everyone they serve on revenue teams.

They’re inundated by questions from colleagues & customers. They are stuck repeating answers, hunting down tribal knowledge. They spend hours writing “handoff” docs and completing prep for meetings. They’re still waiting for an answer that they asked a colleague yesterday.

This wasted time is expensive and makes providing great experiences to customers and prospects unnecessarily challenging.

This is what we’re solving. At Mash, we’re building the tools to help revenue teams at technical B2B companies scale the tier-one service they provide to customers and prospects. From an encyclopedic knowledge engine that pulls in information from all the scattered, siloed and messy sources, to the automation agents that proactively help before they know they need it. About Mash

We’re a dynamic team with experience at startups, and big tech including Google, Amazon, D2L, ROSS Intelligence & Lazer. We don't use any seniority titles, and plan not to for as long as feasibly possible (learn more why).

Role & Responsibilities

You will be working directly with Jared, Mash's CEO, to help accelerate the business. You'll be the first GTM hire on the team. Your primary focus will be in helping to grow our customer base and serve current customers better.

You will have significant responsibility across the GTM stack, and will work with the team to prioritize what is the most important (which is ever-changing).

Sales: Identify prospects, build a sales pipeline, and manage deals through negotiation. Creatively think about our target customers and how to best build relationships with executives across a variety of verticals.
Service: Ensure the successful on-boarding, integration and satisfaction of our partners.
Knowledge: Become an expert in AI, knowledge agents, the industries we serve and how they operate. Use AI tools in your day-to-day role to augment your capabilities.
Product: Understand the needs of revenue teams and our capabilities to over-deliver on our promises to them.
Marketing: Create compelling content and thought leadership material.
GTM: Synthesize learnings from working with customers to advise our product roadmap, marketing & brand, and other related efforts.
Startup: Strategically allocate your time and budget on high impact efforts (including prioritizing amongst this list).

Experience & expectations

The ideal candidate...

Responds well to open-ended problems, thrives on autonomy, and is a self-starting problem solver.
Excels in team environments and is focused on team goals.
Has great communication skills.
Has a passion for lifelong learning.
Has experience in a demanding, high-paced environment with multi-disciplinary responsibilities.
Has 2+ years of experience in management consulting or investment banking (or similar skill development).
Has 2+ years of demonstrated success in a demanding, high-paced environment with multi-disciplinary responsibilities at a startup or high growth technology company.
