About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Site Reliability Engineer to work alongside Damian Finol, our Head of DevSecOps, and our engineering team to design, implement, and maintain robust infrastructure and systems. As an SRE, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our platform.
Our technology stack is full Cloud Native using state-of-the-art technologies like Kubernetes, gRPCs, HTTP2, AI, crypto, and others into a platform that solves the needs of the Latino population in sending home money. Come help us build it!
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain highly scalable and reliable infrastructure on the Google Cloud Platform
- Develop and manage Kubernetes clusters and applications
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using Terraform
- Write Python scripts to automate tasks and integrate with our systems
- Monitor and troubleshoot system performance and identify bottlenecks
- Implement and maintain best practices for security, reliability, and performance
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure efficient and reliable deployment and operations
- Lead and coordinate incident response efforts
- Participate in on-call rotations and provide timely support for production issues using PagerDuty
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or DevOps Engineer
- Proven track record of designing, building, and maintaining highly scalable and reliable infrastructure.
- Deep understanding and hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, including Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, and BigQuery.
- Proficiency in using Terraform or similar tools to automate infrastructure provisioning and management.
- Strong knowledge of Docker, Cloud Build and Kubernetes for building, deploying, and managing containerized applications.
- Expertise in Python for automating tasks, integrating systems, and developing monitoring tools.
- Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, New Relic) and alerting systems to track system health and identify issues promptly.
- Understanding of security best practices and experience implementing security measures to protect infrastructure and applications.
- Ability to diagnose and optimize system performance, identifying and addressing bottlenecks.
